Glanced for children

The same ideas as the rest of the site, written for three age groups. Pick yours.

A trial frame in front of rows of test lenses in an optician's case

For parents, carers and teachers

Each age group covers the same six ideas at a different reading level: how the eye works, why sight tests matter, glasses, colour vision, people who see differently, and when to tell someone. Nothing here collects data, nothing autoplays, and the pages work with a keyboard, a screen reader and the Accessibility button at the top.

Sight tests are free on the NHS for children under 16, and for 16 to 18 year olds in full-time education in England. A child does not need to read letters to have one.
